What is PBS?
The purpose of the Positive Behaviour Support is to establish a school environment in which appropriate behaviour is the norm for all students.
Why PBS?
PBS creates school communities with an effective evidence based approach – creating positive and engaging school environments. PBS provides the school community with a school improvement framework for ensuring that the learning environment of the school is focused on engagement. The PBS Framework requires the establishment of expectations – which focuses on data and inquiry to drive continious improvement.
What are the Primary Expectations?
Our Primary School Values and Expectations are seen as central to the life of our Primary School. It also outlines how the school community will conduct themselves.
Meet our new PBS characters!
As part of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Program (PBS) we have created new school characters to help us remember the high expectations we have for behaviour at our school. Our School Captains did a fabulous job of introducing our three characters, and they are appearing across our school. If you haven’t met them yet, here they are.
We will continue to develop our PBS program and keep everyone informed of developments. Please refer to the PBS matrix so that you are aware of the behaviours we are highlighting for development each week.
