Built around the phases Connect, Teach, Learn and Reflect, our model ensures that every lesson is purposeful, engaging and aligned with the way students learn best.
Connect
Each lesson begins by activating prior knowledge, tuning students in and preparing them for new learning. This phase strengthens memory, builds confidence and helps students make meaningful links between what they know and what they are about to learn.
Teach
Teachers clearly establish the learning intention and success criteria before modelling new skills or concepts. This explicit approach ensures students understand what they are learning, why it matters and how to be successful.
Learn
Students then move into guided or independent practice, applying new learning through rich tasks, collaboration, problem‑solving and targeted support. This phase allows teachers to differentiate, conference with students and respond to learning needs in real time.
Reflect
Lessons conclude with reflection, where students revisit the learning intention, share their thinking and celebrate progress. This builds metacognition, ownership and pride in learning.
